Terms of Service

Last updated

These terms are the agreement between you and Keplar when you use keplar.app and the Keplar app. Please read them along with our privacy policy. By using Keplar, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Keplar.

The short version

  • Keplar is a study tool for the digital SAT. It can help you prepare, but it can't guarantee a score or an admission decision.
  • The free plan is free. Keplar Plus is a subscription that renews until you cancel, and you can cancel any time.
  • Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record.
  • The AI Coach can make mistakes, so check answers that matter.
  • You own what you upload. Don't share anything you don't have the right to share, including official test content.
  • Be decent to other students. We can remove content or accounts that break these rules.

Who can use Keplar

You must be at least 13 years old to use Keplar. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who should read these terms with you. If you use Keplar for a school or other organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

Your account

  • Guest accounts: you can start without an email. Your progress is tied to that browser, so if you clear your browser data or switch devices before adding an email, you may lose access to it. Add an email in Profile & settings to keep your account.
  • Keep it secure: you're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email account secure. Tell us at pushpit17@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it.
  • One person per account: accounts are personal and can't be shared, sold or transferred.
  • Accurate information: don't impersonate anyone or use a display name that's offensive or misleading.

What Keplar provides

Keplar offers study plans, adaptive practice, explanations, games, a college tracker, a resource library and an AI study Coach. Keplar's practice questions are original questions written to the published digital SAT skills. They are not official College Board questions. Keplar is not affiliated with or endorsed by College Board. SAT, PSAT/NMSQT and Bluebook are trademarks of College Board.

College information such as testing policies, deadlines and score ranges comes from public sources and can change. Always confirm important details on the college's or College Board's own website. We may add, change or remove features over time, and we'll try to give notice of significant changes.

Plans, billing and cancellation

Free plan

The free plan includes a daily limit of adaptive practice questions and the core study features. We may change what the free plan includes.

Keplar Plus

  • Subscription: Plus is billed monthly or yearly at the price shown at checkout, which may vary by country and currency. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • Free trial: new subscribers may get a free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged. Otherwise your first payment is taken when the trial ends.
  • Cancelling: cancel any time in Profile & settings → Manage subscription. You keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, Plus may be paused until the payment goes through.
  • Price changes: if we change the price of your plan, we'll tell you before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you choose.

Coach credits

Each Coach message uses one credit. Plus includes Coach credits each paid month, and you can buy one-time credit packs. Purchased credit packs don't expire. Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred and are only usable in Keplar.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record. Dodo Payments handles payment, tax and receipts, and its terms also apply to your purchase. If you think you've been charged in error, contact us at pushpit17@gmail.com within 30 days and we'll look into it. This doesn't limit any refund rights you have under the law where you live.

The AI Coach

  • The Coach uses third-party AI models to generate replies. Its answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important against official sources, your teachers or the explanations in Keplar.
  • Don't include personal details such as your full name, school, address or ID numbers in Coach messages. See our privacy policy for how messages are processed.
  • Use the Coach to learn, not to get around your school's rules on AI or academic honesty.

Content you share

You keep ownership of the files, links, notes and comments you add to Keplar ("your content"). You give Keplar a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process and display your content only as needed to run the service, for example to show a resource to the friends or groups you share it with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared under your direction or kept in routine backups for a limited time.

You're responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it. In particular, don't upload or share official test content (including questions from real SAT administrations), copyrighted books or courses you don't have rights to, or anyone else's personal information.

Community rules

When you use Keplar, including comments, groups, friend features, games and leaderboards, you agree not to:

  • harass, bully, threaten or discriminate against anyone, or post sexual, violent or hateful content;
  • share secure or official test content, or help anyone cheat on a real test;
  • infringe someone else's copyright or other rights;
  • post spam, advertising or misleading content;
  • manipulate games, scores or leaderboards, or use bots or scripts to do so;
  • try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, probe or disrupt the service, or get around its limits;
  • scrape, copy or resell Keplar's questions, explanations or other content.

You can report content in the app. Reported content may be hidden automatically while we review it. We may remove content, limit features or suspend accounts that break these rules.

If you believe content on Keplar infringes your copyright, report it in the app or email pushpit17@gmail.com. Include the content's location, the work you believe is infringed, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized and that your notice is accurate. We'll review it and remove infringing content.

Keplar's content

Keplar's software, design, practice questions, explanations, articles and other materials belong to Keplar or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable right to use them for your own studying while you use Keplar. Please don't copy, republish or sell them without our permission. Linking to our articles is always welcome.

Other services

Keplar links to and works with other services, such as College Board's Bluebook practice tests and college websites. We're not responsible for those services, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

Ending your use of Keplar

You can stop using Keplar and delete your account at any time in Profile & settings. If you have a subscription that renews, cancel it first. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to for legal reasons, and we'll tell you when we reasonably can. If we stop offering Keplar altogether, we'll give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid, unused subscription time.

Disclaimers

Keplar is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and running, but we don't promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted or that it will produce any particular result. In particular, we don't guarantee any test score, score increase or admission decision. Your results depend on many things outside our control. Some places don't allow these disclaimers, so they may not all apply to you.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Keplar won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, opportunities or profits, arising from your use of Keplar. Keplar's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Keplar in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Disputes and governing law

Talk to us first. If you have a problem with Keplar, email pushpit17@gmail.com and describe it. We'll try to resolve it informally within 30 days, and most issues can be fixed this way.

Governing law. Keplar is operated from India. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over disputes about them.

Your local rights still apply. If you use Keplar as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country or state where you live, including any consumer protection, cancellation and refund rights, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live if those laws allow it. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Keplar after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

General

Keplar is operated from India. These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and Keplar about the service. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization or sale of Keplar.
